Public catalog API and MCP

Read and search the same offering information shown in our public guides. Access is free, with no account, API key or payment required.

These interfaces cover public offering descriptions, access conditions, features, steps and FAQs. Approved public business listings are available through directory search. Private records, account actions, job applications and paid generation remain in their existing services.

REST API

curl "https://www.jasoto.co.uk/api/offerings?q=language"

Search uses all terms and returns an empty list when nothing matches. Unknown slugs return HTTP 404; invalid queries return HTTP 400. API errors include error.code, error.message and error.resolution.

The small curated catalog returns all matches without pagination. Cache successful results for at least 60 seconds. If the hosting platform returns HTTP 429, respect its Retry-After header.

Find a business

Search approved public listings by service or business name and location. Each result links to the public profile and the normal quote-request flow. These read-only endpoints do not send enquiries or invoke paid services.

curl "https://www.jasoto.co.uk/api/directory?q=plumber&location=London&country=GB&limit=10"

GET /api/directory accepts q, location, country, limit and offset. Use up to six plain q terms, a two-letter country code and a limit from 1 to 25. Follow nextOffset until it is null. No matches returns an empty items array; unavailable data returns 503 with Retry-After: 30.

GET /api/directory/{identifier} reads one approved public business by its slug or id. Read the current profile and confirm availability with the business before requesting a quote.

MCP

Connect a compatible MCP client to https://www.jasoto.co.uk/mcp. It uses stateless Streamable HTTP with JSON responses and supports protocol versions 2025-11-25, 2025-06-18 and 2025-03-26.

Use search_businesses and get_business for approved public listings, or search_offerings to find offerings and get_offering to read one. Public resources include the AI-readable index, full catalog and every Markdown offering guide.

Send POST messages with Content-Type: application/json and Accept: application/json, text/event-stream. Messages are limited to 32 KiB. No standalone GET event stream or account authentication is provided.

Readable pages and recovery

Request the homepage with Accept: text/markdown for a text overview. Browser requests continue to receive HTML. Unknown paths return HTTP 404 with a Markdown recovery page when requested; unknown API paths return JSON.
